Juan Merino, B2B Digital Transformation in Accenture / DMBA student at ISDI
1. Why did you decide to join the masters?
I always loved technology, and I wanted to focus my career in that direction. This master offered me the opportunity to learn a lot, without having to be an engineer.
2. What do you think about the current situation for career development and job opportunities?
Within the sector of technology, I believe there is a gap between people who would love to work in tech and engineers. This makes it complicated for people who aren’t engineers to get a position in a job in tech.
3. Why did you want to do your internship at Accenture?
I believe Accenture to be a referent in the digital world, and I couldn’t think of a better place to push my digital career forward.
4. Tell us about your position there. What does your day look like?
We’re currently working on a big project regarding the B2B digital transformation of the client. For this, I provide support in the different streams of work, trying to learn and add value as much as possible.
5. Tell us something valuable you’ve learned from the master’s that has helped you at Accenture
It depends on the project. For me, all the content referent to buyer personas has been very relevant, as well as all the classes regarding mediation and leadership.
6. Tell us something new that you have learned at Accenture or from your colleagues there.
Don’t finish something early if it doesn’t mean finishing as best as you can. Quality comes before timing.
7. Why do you think these kinds of partnerships between schools and companies are so important for your generation?
They give us insights on what the professional world expects from us, and by giving us this kind of opportunities, we can experience it firsthand.
Althea Blas, Digital Marketing Intern en Accenture Interactive / DMBA student at ISDI
1. Why did you decide to join the masters?
Because I wanted to increase my limited knowledge of Digital Marketing and I like ISDI's methodologies.
2. What do you think about the current situation for career development and job opportunities?
I think that nowadays it's difficult to find a job because we have a lot of competence out there, but digital can differentiate you from others and make it easier.
3. Why did you want to do your internship at Accenture?
I've been in very different companies (start-up, multinational...) and I wanted to try a multinational where I won't do the same thing "forever". I mean, in the other companies I felt that I was getting stuck and I don't like routine.
4. Tell us about your position there. What does your day look like?
I'm taking part in a lot of different projects so, when I get there, I see with my boss our priorities for that day. I can be doing a presentation for a proposal or implementing a transformation plan, for example.
5. Tell us something valuable you’ve learned from the master’s that helped you at Accenture
The way of working and think outside the box.
6. Tell us something new that you learn at Accenture or from your colleagues there.
It doesn't mind if you are just an intern, your opinion and voice must be heard.
7. Why do you think these kinds of partnerships between schools and companies are so important for your generation?
Because nowadays companies ask for experience that we don't usually have and it's also a way to prepare us to be like this type of company needs.
